Our Eye Doctors

Dr. Ted Sober has been a licensed optometrist in Maryland for over 55 years.  He has been married to his wonderful wife for over 55 years and is the father of three sons, including Dr. Jason.  As our "Optometrist Emeritus," Dr. Ted is no longer actively examining patients, but he serves as a tremendous resource to Dr. Jason.  Following in his father's footsteps, Dr. Ted now performs the laboratory work for Sober Family Eye Care and is still on site 5 days per week.  Dr. Ted has been passionate about recycling for over 50 years.  Dr. Ted also has supported Project Connect with his time, skills and resources.

Dr. Jason Sober graduated from optometry school near the top of his class in 1997 and has been practicing optometry for over 25 years.  He has been married to his beautiful wife for over 24 years and is the father to two wonderful sons.  His family is Dr. Jason's main focus when he is not busy being your family eye doctor. Dr. Jason enjoys the personal relationships he has been able to form with many of our patients.  Some families are now bringing their third generation of family members to Sober Family Eye Care.  Dr. Jason has been an avid supporter of United Way's Project Connect, where Dr. Sober volunteers his time and resources to provide examinations and eyeglasses for low-income residents of Harford County.  Dr. Jason is an avid fan of the Ravens and the Orioles.
